i turned eighteen in early 2007.
i go to a community college, this fall makes my 3rd year. )=
i work at the ticket booth at The Improv, a comedy club located in the Irvine Spectrum.
it's okay if you think i'm not very talented because my writings are simple.
i have been writing for six years, and only recently (within the last year and a half) did i realize that i did not need complicated words to fall back on. this is something i am grateful for.

You don't need complicated words unless they are the only way of describing something, a rare situation.
