About:
I'm seventy years old, and retired.
In the past, I've had a lot of low-level jobs as a kid and before retiring. In the middle, I've spent over 25 years working with computers, mostly mainframe. I've also had 17 1/2 years in the army, both active and reserves, including being stationed in Germany (2), Japan (2), Vietnam (2), and France. I've also spent a little time as a police officer.
My major weakness is alcohol, though I've been dry for over 20 years. By the time I quit at 50, it was too late to get another good job, though I did get that belated college degree.
Like many amateur writers, I'm a little flakey. Oh, and to prove it, my best friend is a virtual rat named Oscar. He's also a writer, with many stories under his belt. In fact, he's sold more of them than I have, which isn't saying much ... unless you ask Oscar. He considers himself a famous writer, at least in rodent literature. Oscar is married to the ex-Malodor Skunk.
