I'm an absolute amatuer to photography, in all honesty it started with my Mother, i was presented with a digital point & shoot camera as a gift from her at Christmas 2005, and i never even looked at it., well not much anyway, a couple of obligatory family/ party type shots, but that was it.

Then i got speaking to a Guy at work, who had been taking photographs for years, on film, and had recently converted to digital, i was so impressed with his work, i thought " what the heck! ", i told him about my camera (Fuji Finepix E900), and he said it was a great little camera, it would allow to me to learn the basics and get me out there snapping, and this is all from roughly, the beginning of this year, well in fact April, the reason i know that, is because i also started a " Flickr " account ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/smokinbeagle/ ) to inspire me and help me, and hopefully, learn from other's, i have found to be a great community, and have made some awesome friends, of which i hope i can do here as well at " Heel Press ".

I have recently upgraded to a " Pentax K100D ", my very first SLR, i know its not much, to i didn't want to over-indulge in something, i didn't really know much about, but its okay, and i've learned so much with it so far, so another upgrade is pending ..........

Anyway, i'm looking to learn, to be inspired and to make some cool friends, and from what i've seen so far, i don't think thats going to be a problem !
