hey you ask some good q's, which is why i'll answer them

bob and trent are friends, but in the way that many ppl are buddies w/ someone even if they really aren't. valerie is there to piss of sue and serve as a foil to her character i suppose. bob and sue are names of ppl i know, the tv thing is a good idea but alas, i'm not so clever. trent is on my list of "cool deuchebag guy names", and i knew a very very bitchy valerie in high school. hope this helps explain the story and i'm glad you enjoyed it :)

hey still interested in the writing gig? email me nosman@uci.edu and i'll try to get my boss to email you the application forms, see if that's acceptable, whenever they officially begin hiring

on 03/14/06 at 05:09 PM

Larry, today marks yet another day when I almost walked up to sock a clone of you in the arm. I swear there are like at least 9 duplicates of you so far that I've seen on campus.

on 02/17/06 at 11:42 PM

hmm...

Beijing Bling

on 02/17/06 at 11:34 AM

^"Not to be dickish or anything"...haha

Beijing Bike, Beijing Bums? So, when are you writing Beijing Blow?

on 02/09/06 at 11:12 PM

Hey. Could you maybe tell me why you weren't "feeling" Viral Revolution? Not to be dickish or anything, just looking for ways to improve. Thanks.

on 01/29/06 at 10:07 PM

Thank you. Art is awesome.

on 01/28/06 at 05:49 PM

yeah i had to read him after all the hype... what did you think of the book?

on 01/23/06 at 11:32 PM

RYC: You hadn't said it before, and thank you. I like that you did

on 01/17/06 at 09:33 PM

on 11/04/05 at 03:33 AM

jay chou is still wack. sorry.

on 11/03/05 at 06:45 AM

Hey thanks for the kind words dude. Yeah that sentence was spawn straight from my dark mind. Anyway, its always a fun time reading a Larry Kuok article. I still remember the days when "runners..." was taking all that heat. Good times.

on 11/02/05 at 11:08 PM

I liked Move of a Lifetime

on 10/14/05 at 01:42 AM

Didja know that Lahiri's second book, The Namesake, is being turned into a film with Kal Penn from Harold & Kumar?

on 10/03/05 at 06:04 AM

Hey, Larry, what's the deal with the new CCTV building in the CBD? The inverted skyscraper thing--is that done yet? What about the "Bird's Nest" Olympic stadium? Does that thing look good, or is it tacky?

on 09/26/05 at 06:00 PM

*always rather

on 09/26/05 at 06:00 PM

Alway, always hungry.

on 09/23/05 at 11:16 PM

dude - i wish I lived in Chaoyang

on 09/23/05 at 07:06 AM

I stayed at ShouJingDa ((首都经济贸易大学) <-You can read that shit, right?). It's in the "Central Business District" (oohlala!) in Chaoyang, far away from all the universities in Haidian District, but close to the bars in Sanlitun.

SARS struck when I was there, which was kind of crazy. Just imagine a wild viral outbreak taking that crazy city by storm. Absolute madness.

on 09/22/05 at 09:50 AM

Larry, I was in Beijing for a Spring-03 semester, but never made it to Beida. Sad. As far as my putonghua, ne...it's...putong.

I still prank call my old Beijing dorm room, though. It bugs the hell out of whichever foreign students happen to be residing there.

on 09/14/05 at 09:45 PM

It's the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica :)

on 09/12/05 at 08:00 AM

You're studying at Beida? Sweet!

on 09/11/05 at 09:36 PM
