Signs pt. 2Your rich, dark skin and hourglass frame Lend themselves to your forever goal Of finding beauty and love and the truths that can come From never editing your piece before publish.
Instead, I must guess, that all your works Come pre-filtered, all worked out, fine-tuned. Why should your writing be this way When your life shows no signs of these things?
The reason, so harsh, is the signs are hiding In your head, separate elementally from the world. Your compartmentalization has left you with A menagerie of memories fighting, mangling ideals.
I am not the ideal, nor will I ever claim such; Instead, I am damaged someways, augmented in others. You always succeed in holding a mirror & scale. Will you let my words have their weight? Will you see my view of you? Will you see my happiness as yours? Open, all eyes, and give me your scale And let me be right, beside you. © msamel
