Rave of the Century

Verse 1:   At the rave of the century
For Mississippi blue eyes, like you
You smiled in your long, white tee
As the strobe lights bounced off your skin
You said a kind word, nodded yes
And accepted him into your body

Chorus:   I lose sight of your languid eyes
As the music bumps and beats
               These already broken teens

Verse 2:  I started smoking at the rave of the century
               Too bad you wouldn't notice
Since you were off fulfilling childish fantasies
                As I sat and pondered

You say pondered when you sang it.
