the swirling vortex at upper beaver creek falls

For some time, I've had Beaver Creek Falls and Upper Beaver Creek Falls 'bookmarked' to visit. Upon recently seeing images of the upper falls from a few local photographers, I made it my goal to visit asap. The fall leaves were dropping down into the creek below the falls, or possibly getting carried over the falls themselves... either way, many of them ended up in a sort of 'vortex' off to the left of the falls. The water in this whirlpool (and thus the leaves) moved slowly, but it's dim enough there to shoot some decently long exposures and capture the circular motion of the leaves. I tried several different exposures at anywhere from 4 to 30 seconds... this is one of the longer ones.

Taken with my Nikon FM.
