Back To Your Roots

This is my biggest piece. This was the first time I worked on wood and I instantly fell in love. Unlike canvas, it as a very soft flat surface and because it is thick it has a more substantial look when its on the wall.

I love the contrast between the beautiful things that grow and all the mess that is underneath. I feel like that is so applicable to so many things in life, the battle between good and evil or even just the mess that we all hide under our skin. Sometimes showing whats underneath can turn out to be so much more beautiful than you ever could have imagined.
