Sam, If you are trying to buy one you should go for either d300 or d3 now, Since Thats the best you could get from a Nikon... Right now im using a d200 which is ok ;)

I Just got an Olympus E-Volt 410 which has got to be the cheapest decently reveiw dslr out there. It's hard to get the macro pictures i could get with my nikon 4800 my nikon 8700. I'm gonna buy a lens extension and a macro lens. I've never taken any classes so i only now stuff from my own experience.

I think I have settled on the Canon EOS Rebel.� However, I am not sure the difference I am going to see with 10.1 MP versus 8.2.� Does anyone have any suggestions or ways to explain the difference for me?�

I have a Sony A100 with a mix of lenses from different makes. Love it. Whats usually mounted on my camera is a Zeiss 16-80mm but my Sigma 105mm macro gets a lot of use too.

just bought a new toy, D200 and loving it. Hope it will be tough enough for climbing and stuff, will see this winter

I adore my D50 and my D80. The body is so hearty and the sensors so fine. Funny though, I still get such a great performance from my little Casio EXLIM. It is so unassuming people don't flinch when it is pointed in their direction, the internal filters allow for great experimentation, the macro is super, it won't freeze at 14,000 feet, and it fits in my pocket.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone's work :) this is a great place.
