Description

Founded by: a haiku like you
seeking lit majors and lovers alike who, after countless midnight hours of studying literary theory, think postmodernism should jump off a bridge (personification intended). let's come up with ideas that will leave derrida in the dust.

Come on people, someone has to have something to say!

I was thinking along the lines of linguistics. Language used as a power structure to define and marginalize. Deconstructionism frees us of those binds. See Our Words are Our Weapons Subcomandante Marcos.

how about this: you are all goddamn hippies

oh you all misread our purpose. We too utilize and relish in postmodernism for articles, conversations and essays. The description is not meant to show literal distaste, but rather instigate those familiar with postmodernism to share readings inspired by [and those that inevitably expand and theorize new ideas in] the most recent literary theories. As literature majors know, Derrida has made an important impact used frequently in "literary matters"-- the rather recent discourse entitled literary theory. For those who have never studied such writers in their institutions as lit majors, I suppose our somewhat sarcastic description may not be as thoughtprovoking/welcoming as we had imagined. Please, share your deconstuctions, interpretations [I love 'Of Grammatology']..etc etc. Because honestly...postmodernism, like this group, is about stretching your thoughts beyond any imaginable capacity. Deconstruct deconstruction.

2) i believe in postmodernism with every single atom in my body.

I suppose those who limit their mode of thought simply to literary matters would find Derrida rather threatening...
