August 24, 2007 - 01:56 PM have you been to chicano park in san diego? they kind of went off on the same idea. the site where the park is now was where the government was going to put the freeway through so they ended up just building a park under the freeway and painting all the columns and under-side of the section of the infrastructure that interferes the park. the park is now the site of the largest out doors mural collection in the whole world! if you're local you should definitely visit!
